Crossley Engine at Wunghnu

Thanks to an email from Deborah Kemp we were alerted to the existence of another Crossley Engine which is now operating. The Goulburn Valley Vintage Tractor and Farm Machinery Club acquired the Crossley engine from Radio Australia and it took members five years to restore it. It is a magnificent display of what can be done by a few dedicated people whose passion was to have the engine in their shed and operating so the public can see how engines” USED TO BE”.

A few of our club members travelled to Wunghnu on 27th April 2014 and were exceptionally welcomed by the members and families, who ran the engine for us and then provided lunch. Thank you to all concerned.

We were able to gain invaluable knowledge from the members to assist us in restoring our Crossley Engine to operating condition.

Anyone who would like to view the engine and see it operating can visit the shed in Wunghnu on a Wednesday between 8am and midday, or call 03 5826 9565.
